Thank you for visiting this site dedicated to the recovery of the native land base. Throughout history, in the U.S., the native population has struggled to keep the land that at one time could not be "owned." One of the biggest problems today is, assuring that in the future there still will be native tribes and native lands. The mission of the Indian Land Working Group is to secure the native occupancy, use, and control, of the native land base for many generations to come. This comes by way of speaking out for or against laws that are beneficial or detrimental to the rights of native land owners. A second way of accomplishing this goal is by informing and educating Indian land owners and tribes about their land rights and options. The Indian Land Working Group was established to see that both of these things happen to ensure that native people are in control of both their land, and their future.
