19th Annual Indian Land Consolidation Symposium
Restoration of Native Lands & Resources

The 19th Annual Conference theme “Restoration of Our Lands & Resources” will place special focus on options for native land restoration – bringing lands within native territories into tribal use, management and control. This includes federal land transfers, fee to trust, use of “essential governmental functions”, and land acquisition financing options.

Tribal resource restoration includes discussion of how to develop land management codes and ordinances which promote land recovery/first right of purchase for Tribes; fair & equitable rights of way; and protection of water resources.

These topics will be discussed in both General Sessions and 4 Break-Out Tracks. Participants can expect to come away from this conference knowledgeable about the tribal land recovery successes and land use  & management models, that are being used/implemented in Indian Country.
